Flange-to-Flange Type Reaction Torque Sensor FTA is strain gague based with mV/V output intended for non-rotating torque measurement,torque meter FTA offers 1.77lb*in / 4.4 lbf*in / 8.8lb-in / 17.7 lbf*in / 26.5lbf-in / 44 lbf-in / 88lb*in / 177 lb-in / 265lbf*in / 442 lbf-in / 885lbf*in eleven rated capacities to choose from.0.2NM-30Nm versions are made of aluminum while 50-100NM version are made of alloy steel.4-6.5 thru holes located on both ends of the torque cell can be used for bolting between shafts,switches or mounting plates.Torque load cell FTA has no moving parts which makes it very durable and suitable for industrial environments,it’s applicable for torque measurement in both clockwise and anticlockwise direction, reaction torque meter FTA can also be used for rotating torque measurement under certain configuration. Disconnectable cable with mating connector is included,each torque meter will come with a calibration certificate to guarantee the performance and quality.Typical applications for this type of torque meter are for example motor torque measurement, test bench applications, screw driver calibration, twist measurement and so on. Reaction torquemeter FTA can be modified or customized as per request.

A torque sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical torque into mV signal proportional to the applied torque.The acting torsion causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the moment can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.
Torque cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output is normally within 1mV/V~3mV/V.
Power supply is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the torque sensor output signal is normally within -45mV...+45mV.
Example one: FTA-20Nm with 1.5mV/V rated output powered by 3.3V DC,the output range is -4.95mV...+4.95mV.
Example two: FTA-100Nm with 1.5mV/V rated output powered by 12V DC,the output range is -18mV...+18mV.
Torque sensor + Signal amplifier to deliver -5-5V 0-10V 4-20mA output.
Example: FTA-5Nm working with -5-5V amplifier,the torque-output relationship will be 0-5N*m torque in CW direction VS 0-5V output,0-5N-m torque in CCW direction VS 0-(-5V) output,which is linear within the error range.
